We were chartered in 1868, as the third chartered lodge in the Territory of Idaho.

In the ensuing 140 plus years, Ada Lodge #3 has become an important contributor to the community. Fellowship and friendship is a primary personal benefit of belonging to our organization. Our 3 links stand for Friendship, Love, and Truth. These primary necessities of life are branched out to the community and each other.

One of our main purposes is to help our community. We have, for many years, sponsored a Little League Baseball Team. We yearly help the Salvation Army at Christmas time by ringing bells for their kettles. Over twenty years ago we established the Rene Clark Scholarship Fund at Boise State University for students of the Culinary Arts. Each year we donate thousands of dollars to various local charities. There is great personal satisfaction in helping others.

Our bonds stretch across the world. Not only do we make new friends in Lodge, but we meet and make friends from all over the country. A brother or sister visiting an Odd Fellows Lodge, anywhere in the world, is welcomed as a friend. When members are active in the lodge, we find that our faith in a supreme being is enhanced, along with our deep appreciation of mankind. I am an Odd Fellow!
I believe in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man;
I believe in Friendship, Love and Truth as basic guides to the ultimate destiny of all mankind;
I believe my home, my church or temple, my Lodge and my community deserve my best work, my modest pride, my earnest faith, and my deepest loyalty; as I perform my duty, "to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan";
and as I work with others to build a better world, because, in spirit and in truth, I am, and must always be, grateful to my Creator, faithful to my country and fraternal to my fellow man.
